French ON-Mag has tested the DALI OPTICON 2, which they think has “a very serious design that leaves nothing to chance and is able to hold the power without making a false note.”
The OPTICON 2 has received the recommendation “referenz” by AREA DVD.
After testing the DALI OPTICON 2, audioFi.net highlights the loudspeakers as having a “well-balanced sound that hits the right notes without highlighting any major shortcomings. Excellent soundstaging and imaging.”
Hi-Fi World has taken a look at the DALI OPTICON 2 and finds that “the OPTICON 2s […] sound rather larger than their size would suggest – presenting a wide and expansive soundstage.” And they add: “No, you don’t get the absolute impact of the very bottom octaves that a big floorstander will give you but neither do the DALIs leave you feeling you are missing much. Instead they beguile with a nice, rich presentation.”
The German hi-fi website, i-fidelity.net has tested The OPTICON 2’s, which they find are compact and great performers when it comes to converting sound.

The OPTICON 2’s 6½ inch woofer and the more voluminous cabinet make this loudspeaker a true 2-way compact performer. The size of the woofer is matched with a large 28 mm soft dome tweeter to bring out every detail in the audio signal.
